Attribution without the bullshit.

Custom software that shows you where your money actually comes from. Every offer, every channel, paid and organic, and what happens long after the sale. Nothing to set up. Nothing to maintain. Nothing to learn.

Tell me about your business Built for B2B services, agencies, and creators.
Attribution dashboard showing closes, ROAS, and revenue by campaign

Right now, you're doing one of these four things.

A spreadsheet somebody updates by hand.

It's out of date the moment it's finished, and exactly one person understands how it works.

A dashboard tool built for somebody else's business.

GA4, HubSpot reports, whatever your agency set up. It answers questions you didn't ask and can't answer the one you did.

A monthly report you don't trust.

Impressions, reach, engagement. Numbers that go up while revenue doesn't.

Nothing. You're guessing.

You keep spending because stopping feels riskier than continuing.

All four have the same root cause: your business doesn't work the way the software assumes it does.

Every tool you own is honest about one slice.

Your ad tracker sees ads. Your CRM sees the pipeline. Your cart sees the transaction. Your email platform sees opens and clicks. Your payment processor sees the charge, and sometimes the refund six weeks later.

Every one of them is telling you the truth about the part it can see, and saying nothing about the rest. That's not a flaw in any of them. It's what they're for.

The problem is that nobody sells the layer above. So you end up in a spreadsheet, stitching five exports together by hand once a month, and by the time you've finished the numbers are stale and you still can't answer the question you started with.

I keep every tool you already run. I build the layer on top.

Three things your stack can't tell you right now.

Where the money comes from when it isn't an ad.

Organic, affiliates, JV launches, podcast tours, speaking, referrals, and the list you've spent a decade building. For most businesses doing real numbers this is the majority of revenue, and the attribution tools have almost nothing to say about it.

How your offers feed each other.

Somebody buys the low-ticket thing, sits on your list for eighteen months, and shows up in a mastermind. No platform connects those two events, because the window is too long and the path crosses six systems. So you keep funding the front end on faith and arguing about it in leadership meetings.

What happens after the sale.

Refunds, churn, completion, renewals, second purchases, lifetime value by where the customer came from. This is where your business actually lives, and it's the exact moment every attribution tool stops paying attention.

So we build the software around your business instead.

Every company runs marketing differently. Different channels, different offers, different steps between “they found us” and “they paid us.” Generic tools can't know any of that, so they make you conform to them, and you end up with a dashboard full of numbers that are technically correct and practically useless.

Common Insights goes the other direction. I learn how your business actually works, then build software that tracks exactly that. Your channels. Your funnel. Your definition of a qualified lead. Your revenue, attributed the way you'd attribute it if you had the time to do it by hand.

You get the exact views you need, showing the exact numbers you need, available the moment you need them.

What you actually get

It depends on your business. That's the entire point. But it's usually some combination of these.

Revenue forecast dashboard with a 12-month projection chart

A private dashboard, built for you.

Your numbers, your language, your structure. No configuration screens, no report builder, no filters to remember. You open it and the answer is already on the screen.

Per-webinar performance table ranked by net profit

The numbers pushed to you.

Daily or weekly, in email or Slack, in whatever shape is useful. Once it's running, you stop logging in anywhere. The numbers just show up.

Funnel dashboard tracing opt-in to booked call to sold, by source

Attribution that goes all the way through.

From the ad click or the email or the podcast mention, through the lead, through the sales conversation, to the actual revenue. Not last-touch guesswork. The whole path.

One call. One week. Then it just runs.

Step 01

We talk once.

One short call where I learn how you sell and what you actually need to see. You don't prepare anything.

Step 02

I connect everything.

Ads, CRM, email, payments, your site. I do all of it. You're not hooking anything up, mapping any fields, or getting your developer involved.

Step 03

You're looking at real numbers in a week.

First working views inside seven days. Over the next thirty days I refine it until the reporting is exactly right.

Step 04

Thirty days in, it's yours.

A dashboard built entirely around your business, showing everything you need to see, and telling you every day about the things you asked to be told about. Running on your accounts, owned by you.

After that, it runs. When your business changes, I change the software to match.

This is a good fit if…

You're spending enough on marketing that a wrong answer is expensive.

You sell more than one thing, or through more than one path, and the numbers live in more than one place.

Someone on your team is currently maintaining a spreadsheet to answer questions your software should be answering.

You've already tried the off-the-shelf tools and you're still not sure what's working.

If you're running one offer through one channel and your ad platform's own reporting is telling you the truth, you don't need me. Save your money.

You own all of it.

The code and the data are yours.

Not licensed, not rented. Yours. You can take it and go at any time, and it'll keep running.

It runs on your accounts.

Your cloud, your database, your infrastructure. Nothing is trapped behind my login.

Your data stays where it already lives.

I'm a layer on top of the tools you already pay for, not another place your data goes to hide.

There's no lock-in here. If this ever stops being worth it, you stop, and you keep everything.

Tim Grahl · Common Insights

Who's building this

I'm Tim Grahl. I've been writing software for over 25 years, and I run my own multi-million dollar business.

That combination is the whole reason Common Insights exists. Someone who can build this usually doesn't know which numbers matter. Someone who knows which numbers matter usually can't build it. I've spent years on both sides. I've written the code, and I've sat in the chair where somebody has to decide whether to keep spending money on a channel.

So when we talk, I'm not going to ask you what data you want in your dashboard. I'm going to ask how your business makes money, and then I'll tell you what you should be tracking.

Questions you might have.

I already use an attribution tool. Isn't this the same thing?

No, and I use one too. It's one of the sources I pull from. Those tools are good at matching an ad click to a sale, which is hard engineering I have no interest in rebuilding. But they only see paid traffic, they only know their own definitions, and they stop the second the card clears. I take what they know, combine it with everything they can't see, and keep tracking after the sale.

Do I have to move off my current tools?

No. Keeping your stack is the entire point. I connect to what you run.

What if I change tools later?

Tell me and I'll reconnect it. That's part of what you're paying for.

Who owns the software?

You do. The code and the data are yours, not licensed or rented. It runs on your accounts, and there's no lock-in.

How long does it take?

You're looking at real numbers within about a week, and I spend the next thirty days or so refining it until the reporting is exactly right.

Tell me about your business.

Tell me what you're running, what you're spending, and what you wish you could see. I read every one of these and I answer them myself.
